Customer Referral Program

As a thank-you for referring your family and friends to Filters-To-Your-Door, we have a unique Customer Referral Program. Here’s how it works:

If a new customer signs up for quarterly service with either the Basic or Ultra package, and they mention your name at check-out, you will receive a free shipment of up to two filters (Referral Bonus) when you renew your package. If your friend uses the promo code freebie when ordering they will receive their first shipment of up to two filters free.

It’s really that simple, but if you want the nitty gritty details, read on. These rules have evolved as the unjust few have tried to take advantage of the program.

The fine print and legal mumbo jumbo:

  • There is no limit to the number of Referral Bonuses you can receive. If your normal quarterly shipment is one or two filters and you refer four friends, you will receive filters free for an additional year. Refer eight friends and you get two years of free filters. If you are happy with our service and help spread the word, we want to show our appreciation indefinitely!
  • There is no cash value for a Referral Bonus. You get free filters instead of cash. What more could you want?
  • The referred customer must remain in good standing at the time the free filters are shipped to you. In other words, you can’t receive the Referral Bonus if the person you referred cancels their service. We have to make a buck somehow.
  • The Referral Bonuses are applied after the expiration of your current package. This is best explained by an example. If you signed up to receive one or two filters quarterly, and you have received all four shipments, when we process your invoice for the next year, we will apply the Referral Bonuses you have accumulated. Let’s say you referred two friends and they remain in good standing. You will only be invoiced for two of the four deliveries for the following year. Refer four friends and the amount of your invoice will be zero. No kidding! Refer eight friends and the amount of your invoice for the following two years will be zero. You get the idea.
  • If your system requires more than 2 filters, the Referral Bonus gets a little tricky. Again, an example. You originally signed up to receive four filters every quarter, all four deliveries have been fulfilled and it’s time for renewal. You referred four customers to us who are all in good standing. Your invoice for the following year will look like one of those contracts used for buying a new car – long and confusing! The cost of two filters (maximum allowed by the Referral Bonus program so we don’t lose our shirt) will be deducted from each of the four shipments. So, the net amount of your annual renewal will be half of what it would have been without the Referral Bonuses.
  • You can’t refer yourself when you sign up. Don’t laugh. It’s been tried and argued.
  • You can only refer the same customer one time. If you refer someone who cancels and later signs up again, the second sign-up is not eligible for a Referral Bonus.
  • There are no retro-referrals. The new customer must specify your name at checkout for you to be eligible for the Referral Bonus. A year down the road you can’t claim that you referred someone who forgot to mention your name. It’s not that we don’t believe you, but. . .
  • Paid shipments are fulfilled first followed by free shipments. Let’s say you referred two customers to us and you receive one filter per quarter. The amount of your invoice for the year would be for two of your four shipments. If you cancel after receiving the first two shipments, there is no cash refund. We will, however, continue to send you your two free shipments unless you object. We hope you never cancel, though!
  • We reserve the right to modify or cancel this program at anytime. We do not foresee making any changes to this referral program but if we do, they will not be retroactive.
